I got inspired by an upcoming prompt I will be participating in this weekend. So I pulled out the camera during bath time. Which was early tonight because a certain Mom might have forgotten to put a certain baby down for his afternoon nap which means that same baby was ready for bed by 6:30.
So this was around 6 or 6:15 while it was still barely daylight. I turned off all the lights except for the overhead light to get this glowy affect. I also faced him toward the open window.
I tried several different angles and perspectives. I've taken a photo of him during bath time from straight above before. So this time, I cleared my counters completely off, including the toaster oven, to remove distractions and shoot from far away using my wide angle.
I already knew in my head I was going to convert these to black and white. I love seeing my images come to life just as I planned. Because it does not happen very often at all. No, not at all.
I love how wrapped up he is in his bath and not paying attention to the camera. I love how he's lit up and the surroundings are so dark. I just love the results over all. So much so that I can not decide which is my favorite.
Thoughts?
Try new angles and perspectives, it's fun!
And also, embrace the grain. Seriously.

I die! Oh. Stunning. Beautiful.
